Last week was my 29th birthday & so a couple of my best friends treated me
to an afternoon tea at The Glasgow Tearooms - I absolutely loved the
place!
When I think of doing afternoon tea in Glasgow my first thought would be to head
to somewhere in Princes Square but this place has so much more character than
anywhere there. The decor is elegant & fresh but has a quirky twist with a
large painting on the wall of all things Glasgow.
The
family run business (with 3 generations still working there!) has created a
really warm and friendly atmosphere & unbelievably bake majority of all
their cakes & pastries in house - the fruit scones & lemon drizzle are a
must try!
It was the perfect afternoon; eating, chatting & people watching... oh
& sipping on a glass (or two) of Prossecco - the tearoom brilliantly offers
corkage. :)
