We arrived at our Sensation Urban Style apartment
late afternoon & went straight out to explore.

On our walk we came across this beautiful hospital (one of Gaudi's many
designs in the city) not far from where we were staying.

Our apartment receptionist had recommended La Piazzenza (on Avenue De Gauidi) for dinner...
little L was more enthusiastic than us, food was a bit of a let down. :-/

The next morning we headed out early to go visit Gaudi's
masterpiece, Sagrada Familia. I've seen countless photos but you really can't grasp
the sheer size of it or the detail involved until it's right there in front of you...
it really is mind blowing.

We then wandered the streets of Barcelona taking in the sites & stopping off for lunch at La Consentida (on Passeig Gracia - where there's also lots of shopping to be done!)... haven eaten tapas most days for the last 2 weeks in Spain, this place was definitely the best we'd had and the resturant also had a great family atmosphere.

After lunch we jumped the subway & a quick bus trip up to Güell Park.
I'd recommend booking tickets in advance for the tour as the time we got there it was fully booked. The next tour was in 2 hours time so we decided take a walk around the park instead - which was still pretty impressive!

We walked back to Avenue De Gaudi to go for something to eat and got much luckier this time, we went to The Pharaoh Barcelona for some pizza & pasta - little L's favourite!
